Anytune remembers the settings for each song. If you change the tempo and pitch of a song these values will be set when you return to the song. Using the Global settings allow you override the song specific settings and use the same settings across multiple songs.
Setting Defaults change the starting values of tempo, pitch, gain and pan mode.
Globals
By default Global for Music are disabled and Global for Input (instrument or microphone) are enabled. Tuning is usually very specific to a song and gain for your guitar usually doesn't change across songs.
When you enable Global and change a setting, that setting will be used on all the songs, overriding the song specific setting saved with the song.
To play all songs in a playlist at 1.25X tempo
- Go to Settings >
Globals and Defaults
- Enable
Global Tempo and Pitch
- Set the Tempo of the current song to 1.25X
- Go to the next song
All songs loaded when the Global setting is enabled will use the setting.
Disable Global Tempo and Pitch in Settings >
Globals and Defaults to return to using the settings saved with each song.
You can enable or disable Music Globals individually for:
Tempo and Pitch
Gain and Pan
Equalizer
and Input Globals individually for:
Gain and Pan
Equalizer
Defaults
Setting Defaults change the starting values of Tempo, Pitch, Music Gain and Music Pan Mode. These will apply to songs as they are newly imported into Anytune. The default value will be the initial value and be applied when the setting is reset (i.e. Double-Tap the Tempo slider).
For example you had an album that was mixed really low. You could set the default Music Gain to +2.0 dB and import all the songs in the album. Then return the default to 0dB so songs imported in the future are not adjusted. Now whenever you play the low album their Music Gain will be set to +2.0 dB.
When a Default value is set it will be used as the reset value of all songs, whether they were imported when it was set or not.
If you guitar (or your voice) is tuned down half a step and a bit and you want to tune a set of songs that have already been imported.
To make it easy to pitch down
- Go to Settings >
Globals and Defaults
- Set the
Pitch down one semitone and a bit (-1.05 semi)
- Load a song
- Double tap the Pitch slider to "reset" to the Default value, currently set to -1.05 semi
- Repeat for all songs you want to pitch down.
Remember to reset the default pitch adjustment to zero (0.00 semi)
Warning: The Global value will override Defaults. Disable Globals to use the default values. If your Default value and the current (last adjustment) Global values are different the song will use the Global value on initial import.
