Anytune use time-stretching and pitch-shifting audio processing to allow you to change the tempo without affecting pitch, the pitch without affecting the tempo or both.
You can choose Pro or HQ audio quality on the mobile version of Anytune.
- Tap
Settings > Audio Quality
- Choose
HQ for excellent audio quality. (0.05 to 5X)
Pro if you would like to lessen system resource demands. (0.3Xt o 2.5X)
You change the tempo of the audio being played with the Tempo slider:
This scroll slider control is used to set variables throughout the App.
To set a slider value: |
Drag the slider or give it a spin. Touch the slider then drag your finger for fine precision adjustments. Touch and flick the slider to spin the slider and make a large adjustment.The value is displayed on the slider. Tap the buttons on either side of the slider to step up or down in increments. |
To reset a slider value: |
Double tap the middle of the slider to toggle between the default and previously set value. |
The fine tuning of Tempo and Pitch (cents) is available in the Paid version.
BPM
The Beats Per Minute (BPM) of the current song is displayed on the tempo control, or the Title Bar in older versions.

The BPM value displayed will reflect adjustments made to the tempo with Anytune's time-stretching.
The BPM value stored with the audio file in your device's media library will be used if it exists. You can set this value in iTunes: Song Info > Details > BPM
If the BPM value is not available with the audio file, it will be calculated by analyzing the audio data. The value is an estimate and may not always be precise; especially for songs with a change in tempo or interruptions in audio.
You can manually change the BPM used by Anytune. This value will be remembered by Anytune and will be preferred to the value included with the audio file, unless you choose the reload.
Set the BPM value of a song
- Tap the Info button in a Song list or Tap the Song Info Title Bar to reveal the Song Info view
- Tap Edit
- Tap the BPM text box and edit the value
OR
Tap "Reload From File" to use the value saved with the audio file
OR
Tap "Recalculate" to update the value by analyzing the audio data
OR
Tap the "Tap" button and tap the screen to set the tempo by tapping along to the somg. - Tap Done
