What's new in Anytune for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

This update resolves an issue where a song’s filename or title containing only numeric characters could cause a database failure and result in Anytune unexpectedly quitting.

This update provides fixes for crashes that could occur when opening songs imported into Anytune, as well as a data-saving issue that could cause Anytune to quit unexpectedly.
It also ensures the Back Arrow appears on lower levels of the Playlists, Artists, and Albums lists.
Additionally, it includes enhancements to improve scrolling performance when working with large lists.

Sync Imported Audio Files
You can now choose where imported media files are stored in Anytune Settings. Keep files “On This Device” and manage them yourself, or choose “iCloud Drive” to sync imported audio files across your devices using iCloud. You still control whether your Anytune data syncs through Anytune Cloud.

Rich Text Lyrics
Anytune now supports rich text lyrics. Customize your textual tabs and scrolling lyrics with formatting such as color, size, and emphasis. Highlight lyric text in Anytune and use the formatter, or paste rich text from another app.

New Tune Info
Tap a song title in the player to open the new Tune Info screen. View and edit song details more easily, and quickly access actions such as adding songs to playlists and copying marks.

This release also includes many bug fixes and user experience improvements.

We’ve updated Anytune to ensure a smooth experience on the latest iOS and iPadOS releases. This update also fixes:
• An iPad issue where the player is unloaded and the Tunes list is empty on restart
• A problem where sharing from the Files app to Anytune may fail on iOS 26

This update fixes UI hiccups caused by Apple’s new “Liquid Glass” look, where some buttons in list views were playing hide-and-seek. If you’re not moving to iOS/iPadOS 26, you can skip this one.

4.7.0 Count In

Introducing Anytune Count-In to start in time for a perfect entrance.
Our new Count-In feature combines visual and audible cues, ensuring you begin in perfect sync with the music, no matter where you jump into the song.

Anytune uses your chosen time signature and the song’s tempo (BPM) to display and play a count-down so you can start playback with perfect timing.

Start by setting Count-In as the default action in Playback Settings, replacing the old Delayed Play feature. Then, customize your Count-In experience by selecting the number of bars, enabling or disabling the accompanying sound. Adjust the time signature and BPM directly in Tune Info. Count-In supports any and unusual time signatures like 5/4 (3+2).

When Count-In is enabled, pressing play triggers the countdown. You can also access Count-In and Tap-In by long-pressing or right-clicking the play button, while maintaining normal play/pause functionality for the button.

Tap-In lets you set the playback tempo by tapping the beats of a bar. You can use Tap-In to start playback directly or initiate the Count-In after tapping in.

Known Apple Issues:

Protected Song Bug (iCloud: Sync Library) - The Music app sometimes downloads "Protected" versions of songs you own and Anytune cannot not play them. See Protected song problem (iCloud Sync). You can work-around this issue by deleting the song file and downloading it from iTunes Store app, or Syncing your music using your computer, or Importing songs (audio files) directly into Anytune.

Lyrics Sync Issue - When using "Sync Library" to manually sync your songs from your computer to your devices, changes to lyrics may not appear on your iPad/iPhones. You will need to delete the song on your device and re-sync. See Lyrics Sync Issue.

This update delivers changes to address problems we believe were caused by an initialization issue. We received reports for a variety of broken features and odd behaviour including crashes and failure to connect to the library.  We hope these changes will remove these problems:

Emergency update to address an issue that was causing spontaneous crashes. 

The crash was triggered by marginal network connectivity. Anytune was being killed by the operating system when it too aggressively attempted to re-establish a lost connection.

Now copy and paste marks between songs!  This is great if you have full, instrument and minus one versions of the same song and want to use the same marks across all songs.

1. Tap the Title Bar or in a list view to reveal the Tune Info view for the source. 
2. Tap Copy Audiomarks from 'Song Title' 
3. Open Tune Info on the target song.
4. Tap Paste Audiomarks from 'Source Song Title'

Interactions with Siri, alarms and receiving phones calls have been corrected.

You can now use LiveMix with Bluetooth headphones. However, the latency is unusable unless you are add OEM transmitters and receivers using aptX LL an BT 5 to replace the native Bluetooth. We hope there will be future improvements to make Bluetooth usable.
