Remote Control - not working
Con rispostaI purchased an iRig BlueBoard as recommended by AnyTune to have remote control while performing and am running it MIDI over Bluetooth mode 2 on my MacBook Pro.
I set switches as follows:
A = 20, previous track. [when depressed it moves one track and then when released moves another] this is no good
B = 21, next track, [when depressed it moves one track and then when released moves another] this is no good
C = 22, Start or Pause, [This requires the switch to be continually depressed to play - when the switch is released the playback stops]
D = 23, Start of Song. This works.... least important
Basically I would like to be able to start stop Songs and also to be able to cycle through them

Thank you for reaching out!
It sounds like the BlueBoard is sending both MIDI Note On and Note Off messages, and Anytune is currently reacting to both. That’s why each press triggers the action twice — once when pressed (Note On) and again when released (Note Off). For the play/pause issue, it’s treating “Note On” as play and “Note Off” as stop.
Here’s how to fix this:
1. Change BlueBoard to send Control Change (CC) messages instead of Note messages, if your setup allows. This avoids Note Off problems entirely.
•Use BlueBoard Mode 1 for Control Change messages (as described in IK Multimedia docs).
•In Anytune > Preferences > MIDI, reassign your commands using the new CC values.
2. If you must stay in Mode 2 (Note mode):
• Use MIDI Learn in Anytune, and assign actions only to Note On messages:
•In Anytune > Preferences > MIDI, enable MIDI Control.
•Select a control, click “Learn”, press the desired BlueBoard button, and ensure only the Note On message is captured.
•If needed, manually delete the extra Note Off assignment.
3.Recommended Button Setup (using CC or Note On only):
•A = Previous Track
•B = Next Track
•C = Start/Stop Playback (toggle)
•D = Go to Start of Song
This setup should give you smooth one-press control of track navigation and playback while performing.
Let us know if you need help configuring BlueBoard mode or Anytune’s MIDI settings. Happy practicing!
