We have worked hard to provide a great experience and earn the trust of our users. Unfortunately, unscrupulous people sometimes try to use trusted brands, such as Anytune, to scam and defraud others.
Phishing: Phishing is a type of online fraud where someone tries to trick you into revealing sensitive details such as a username, password or credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
Spam: The abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages.
Suspicious emails
Anytune is sold exclusively through Apple’s App Stores. The App Store handles the transactions and does not share your personal of financial information with us, including your name and email.
We would never ask for credit card information, account passwords, or extensive personal information in an email.
If you believe you’ve received a phishing email, follow these steps:
- Report the email as phishing to your email provider. For example if you have Gmail, learn how to report phishing and report spam.
- Forward the entire email to reportphishing@anytune.app
Do not alter the subject line and please determine how to forward messages with complete headers. - Do not click any links or download any attachments within the suspicious email. Delete the email from your inbox.
We will confirm the email is fraudulent and, if possible, report the source to the authorities.
Suspicious websites
Phishing emails often lead you to fake or “spoof” websites in an attempt to steal your private, sensitive data. These could look very unusual and not fit with what you expect from the company, or could appear very genuine – but end up having a suspicious URL in the web address bar
If you believe you’re on a spoof website, do not enter any information.
- Copy the site’s web address and paste it into an email message
- Send the email to spoof@anytune.app.
We will examine the site and if it is fraudulent, we’ll try to get it shut down.
