Listening remotely over Zoom

You can use Zoom to allow someone far away to hear you play along with Anytune from you iPhone or iPad.  This might work for remote lessons and allow you to play for your teacher over the internet.

Jim's video tells you about the Original Sound setting which makes Zoom work with music available with a paid account.

There will be a delay in the audio between your playing and the remote listener hearing it (~1/2s). You will not be able to play along together. 

You can use iOS Screen Sharing and Zoom to send the audio from Anytune and your devices Microphone 

Here is how Listening remotely over Zoom works:

1. Your teacher sets up a Zoom call on their Computer and invites you. 

Make sure the account is set up to Preserve original sound!

On your iPhone or iPad: 

1. Open the Zoom app
2. Tap Join and join your teacher's meeting
   
3. Tap "Call Using internet Audio"
             
4. Tap "Share Content"
   
5. Choose "Screen"
6. Choose "Zoom" and Start Broadcast
   
7. Place Zoom in the background and Open Anytune.
8. Start your piece and play along

Your teacher can hear Anytune and your performance though the microphone. 

Adjust music volume 

Your devices system volume will not affect the volume. You can adjust the volume of the music in Anytune using the LiveMix Controls. 

1. On iPhone:  Tap the  (or )  Mode Selector and select  LiveMix mode.
   On iPad:   Tap  LiveMix Controls to reveal the controls. 
2. Tap the  Gain next to the  Music iPod and use the slider to adjust the volume of the music. 

Sharing recordings and notes

You can use Anytune's Recording and Exporting features to send your teacher a recording of your performance.  Your teacher can listen to every nuance and add notes on marks to send you feedback in the form of timed annotations. See Share Marks with a friend.
