Sometimes you may want to adjust only a portion of a song. Perhaps a new musician would like to slow down one tricky section of a song to ensure she shines at the recital.
The ReTune feature provides you with a way of altering the songs settings at each mark.
ReTune is a song specific setting that is enabled in the Marks view.
On iPhone
Tap(or ) to reveal the Mode selector, then tap the Marks mode to reveal the mark feature buttons, including the ReTune button.
On iPad
Tap Songs and Choose "Marks" in the selector to to reveal the mark feature buttons, including the ReTune button.
Tap the ReTune button to enable / disable.
When ReTune is enabled a yellow-orange status bar will be displayed to remind you your settings including tempo, pitch, gain, pan are being scripted by your per mark settings
An additional Start Markwill be crated to allow for initial settings in the song.
Adjusting a section of a song (example)
- Place a mark at the start of the section you want to alter
- Place another mark at the end of the section (return to original value)
- Display the Marks View
Enter Marks mode on iPhone
Tap Songs and Choose "Marks" on iPad
Open the Marks pane on Mac - Enable ReTune by tapping the ReTune Button
- Tap the Info Button on the first Mark
- Adjust the settings of the mark
Example: Tempo to 0.8x - Tap the next Mark Arrow button
- Adjust the settings of the mark
Example: Tempo to 1.0x - Now Play the song.
The settings will be altered according to the mark settings
Delay Time will delay playback by the set time when the mark is reached.
Change Period will make the ReTune settings for the current mark over the set time instead of instantly.
Relative Change is enabled with the ±. You can change tempo and pitch relative to the previously set value.
Note: Remember to disable ReTune when you no longer want the mark settings to affect the song.
