When you Play a song for the first time a config record is added to the All Tunes list. You will now see an Info Button on the song in the lists. Anytune is now remembering all the settings (tempo, pitch, marks, notes, lyrics,....) for that song and the location of the song. Anytune's record (config) is not saved with the audio file.
Songs in your library
When you play a song from your device's music library (Music app / iTunes synced) Anytune only keeps a copy of the file while it is playing the song. Anytune does not duplicate the song, since it it is available in your library.
This means if the song is deleted from your music library the Anytune record will still exist but you will not be able to play the song.
Deleting the record of a song in your library from All Tunes will not delete the audio file in your music library.
Imported songs
When you import a song into Anytune iOS explicitly (Open-In, WiFi, Dropbox, ...) the audio file is stored in Anytune's private data, it is not stored in your device's music library. When you add a song to Anytune Mac you can choose to copy the song into Anytune's private data, or make a reference to the file's location.
Warning: Deleting an imported song from Anytune deletes the audio file and Anytune's record.
Deleting a song from a Playlist will not delete it from "All Tunes" or from Anytune. It will be deleted from the playlist only.
Warning: Deleting a song (record) from "All Tunes" will delete the config including all the saved settings and marks. You will not delete the audio file in your device's music library. You will delete the audio file if the song was explicitly imported into Anytune.

I have expected here to find instructions how to delete a cloud stored configuration of a song. As many backups are automatically created and I sometimes know that some to the cloud exported configurations are for sure obsolete, I would like to delete those files. How can I do that?
I've used the app on an iPhone very successfully but recently bought an Android tablet and find that it lacks many of the controls of the iPhone version. For example I cannot find a way to remove items from either the project window or from the device panel, no matter what I do!!
You can delete anytune config files (automatic backups) bytyping Edit in the Cloud view. Select the backups to delete and then tap the trash icon.
Anytune on Android: Long tap an item in the Project window to select the item and open the multi-select mode. Select all the projects you wish to delete and Tap the trash button.
