The Beats Per Minute (BPM) of the current song is displayed on the tempo control, or the Title Bar in older versions.
Title Bar
Artist | Current Playlist Name |
Song Title | count of total songs in list |
Album Title | ## BPM |
The BPM value displayed will reflect adjustments made to the tempo with Anytune's time-stretching.
The BPM value stored with the audio file in your device's media library will be used if it exists. You can set this value in iTunes: Song Info > Details > bpm
If the BPM value is not available with the audio file, it will be calculated by analyzing the audio data. The value is an estimate and may not always be precise; especially for songs with a change in tempo or interruptions in audio.
You can manually change the BPM used by Anytune. This value will be remembered by Anytune and will be preferred to the value included with the audio file, unless you choose the reload.
Set the BPM value of a song
- Tap the Info button in a Song list or Tap the Song Info Title Bar to reveal the Song Info view
- Tap Edit
- Tap the BPM text box and edit the value
- Tap Done
You can also reload the value from the data in the song file if it exists by Tapping the Reload From File button.
