Speed Adjustment Slider vs Tempo pop-up Window

I am a new user of Anytune on iPad.
I use it to teach ballroom dancing and the speed slider is very important to me.
Whilst adjusting tune speed with the slider, the large Tempo window often pops-up and disables the slider. This is very frustrating as it happens in the middle of running a class.
Can I disable the pop-up window or use the slider differently, so the Tempo window screen does not hinder it’s use?
I am very happy with the ease of use of this app, having recently switched over from an old favourite.

The popup window appears when you long tap the slide. Sometimes trying to make a small adjustment is interpreted as a long press. Drag the slider a bit farther first an then back where you want it to be to avoid triggering a long press and the tempo window appearing.
